Komacut
連絡先:info@komacut.ink
Cookie
Google Fonts
Google Fonts

Komacut Privacy Policy
Operator and scope
Komacut is a free, ad-free comic panel layout application operated by an individual. This policy explains how information is handled on the komacut.ink introduction site, in the hosted application, and in the downloadable and on-device local-server editions (koma serve) distributed by the operator.
Operator: gatyoukatyou
Contact: info@komacut.ink
The operator’s address is not published on this page. If an individual whose personal data is held by the operator requests the address, the operator will provide it to that individual without delay. Section 5 explains how to make a request.
1. Site hosting and access logs
The public website is hosted by Xserver. Site delivery generates access logs containing information such as IP addresses, access times, requested URLs, and browser information. The operator may consult these logs to investigate technical problems and maintain security. These are not records collected to receive or store your creative work.
Ordinary access logs are retained under the hosting provider's standard configuration, covering the previous 30 days. The operator does not maintain additional archives or routinely download copies. If the provider's specifications or configuration change, the retention period stated on this page will be updated. Error logs used to investigate technical problems are provided for the previous 7 days under the standard configuration.
Additional log storage in the user area is disabled (confirmed in the control panel on 3 October 2026). The check on the same date found no log files in the inspected user-area log folder and no previous log archives or downloaded copies in the locations checked. Disabling additional storage does not disable the standard access and error logs held by the hosting provider for the periods described above.
The hosting provider’s automatic backups normally cover the previous 14 days of eligible data, including web and email data. The official documentation does not state whether standard access or error logs are included in these backups, and their inclusion has not been confirmed. If logs are included in the backups, copies may remain in those backups for up to an additional 14 days after the ordinary retention period ends. This does not mean that logs are necessarily backed up or guarantee that every copy of a log is completely deleted after 30 or 7 days. The periods stated here describe the standard logs and backup specifications available to the operator. The operator does not know whether the hosting provider independently holds security records, how long it retains them, or the extent to which the operator can delete or change them. See Xserver’s Privacy Policy for the provider’s own handling of information.
Where exceptional retention is necessary to investigate technical or security incidents or meet legal requirements, it will be limited to necessary records, its reason and duration will be managed, and the records will be deleted when no longer needed. See Xserver's explanations of access logs, error logs, and automatic backups.
2. On-device storage and AI features
Work and settings
In the hosted edition, your work is saved automatically in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. When you open a downloaded HTML file directly (file://), your work and drawing drafts are not stored in the browser; your work is saved to a working file you choose (in browsers that let you choose the file, later changes are written to that file automatically). For work that an earlier version stored in that edition's browser storage, you choose what to do with it at startup. If you choose “Decide later”, that work stays in the browser, and the risk that another local HTML file opened in the same browser can read it remains. Drawing drafts are not included in the working file, so they are lost when you close the page even if you have saved your work. In the on-device local-server edition (koma serve), using work synchronization sends work to the server on your own device and also saves it in a working file on that device. Work you export as a file is saved to the location you choose. Ordinary editing and saving do not send your work to the operator's servers, and the operator does not store your work.
The introduction site stores your chosen language, color theme, and selection of the top-page artwork in localStorage. Changes made in its interactive examples are not saved.
Browser data may be lost through deletion, browser or device settings, equipment failure, or other causes. Save important work separately as files. When you open the HTML file directly, work that you have not saved to a working file is lost when you close the page. Because the operator does not hold copies of your work, the operator cannot restore work stored in your browser.
AI features and API keys
The hosted application has no AI features. AI features are available when you open a downloaded HTML file directly on your device (file://) and when you run the local-server edition (koma serve) on your own device.
At startup, the hosted application deletes AI settings (koma-ai) and cached model candidates (koma-ai-models) left by earlier versions in that site's storage in the same browser, without reading their contents. If the settings contain an API key, that stored key is included in the deletion. The hosted application does not read or save new values for these entries. This operation does not delete work or display preferences. If browser settings or other restrictions prevent access to storage, the deletion may not be possible.
This automatic startup deletion of all AI settings does not run in a downloaded HTML file opened on your device (file://) or in the local-server edition (koma serve) running on your device. However, when the HTML file is opened directly, the API keys and endpoints left in that edition's storage are deleted at startup without being used (other AI settings, such as the provider, are kept). Deletion by the hosted application does not revoke a key at the AI provider or clear storage in another browser or in the file edition.
To use AI features in either the directly opened HTML file or the local-server edition, you enter your own API key. In the local-server edition, an API key you enter is automatically stored without encryption in your browser's localStorage (koma-ai). When you open the HTML file directly (file://), API keys and endpoints are not stored and are used only while that page is open. Keys and endpoints that earlier versions stored in that edition's storage are deleted without being used. Browser storage is not a protected credential vault. A third party with access to your device or browser data, a malicious extension, or other malicious software may be able to read it. When you open an HTML file directly (file://) in a Chromium-based browser, another local HTML file opened in the same browser may be able to read or change the AI settings (such as the provider) and display preferences that this edition stores in the browser. Before entering a key, check that the provider and endpoint in AI settings are the ones you chose. Avoid opening untrusted local HTML files in the same browser when using this edition. The local-server edition uses storage separate from the file edition, identified by its origin, including the address and port. After you stop the server, another application using that same origin may be able to read the same storage. Do not enter an API key or use AI features on a shared device in either edition.
When you run an AI feature, your API key, used for authentication, and the input needed for generation are sent to the AI provider you select. When you open an HTML file directly, your browser sends them directly to the provider. In the local-server edition, the relay (/api/ai) on your own device receives the request from your browser, sends it to the provider, and returns the response to your browser. This traffic does not pass through the operator's servers. The operator does not receive or store your API key, AI inputs, or AI responses on its servers. Content from your work may be included if it is provided as input to an AI feature. If an image AI returns a URL, your device also requests the image from that image-delivery endpoint. The image request does not include an API key or cookies.
The story AI receives the theme you enter and composition instructions, including the layout name and number of panels. The image AI receives art instructions and style information, together with reference assets you select or the image to redraw when the feature supports them. Model-list requests and connection checks also send authentication information and the requests needed for those checks to the selected provider. Opening a work file alone does not send your work to AI. The destination is the provider or endpoint selected in AI settings. Before use, consult that provider’s official website for its terms and privacy policy. If you specify an endpoint yourself, check its operator and data-handling practices. The provider’s terms and settings govern its retention, use for training, and processing in other countries. These are separate from the operator’s access-log retention period.
Limit your key's permissions and spending limits where supported. If you suspect exposure, revoke or replace the key through the AI provider's account controls. Do not include API keys in support requests or bug reports. To remove stored keys in the local-server edition, open AI settings and select “Clear key” separately in both “① Story AI” and “② Image AI.” Clearing one does not clear the other. This operation does not delete your work. Clearing all browser data for the relevant storage area removes work and display preferences as well as keys. Removing a key from browser storage does not revoke it at the AI provider; if exposure is suspected, also revoke or replace it with the provider.
3. Analytics and cookies
We do not install external analytics tags such as Google Analytics or tracking cookies. Browser storage is used to retain work and settings on your device. Hosting access logs are described in section 1.
The hosting provider’s server-log-based analytics is OFF (confirmed in the control panel on 3 October 2026).
4. Page connections and Google Fonts
Images, fonts, and scripts on the introduction page are loaded from this website. Ordinary viewing of the introduction page does not connect to Google Fonts or AI providers.
The app’s “Gothic” and “Mincho” choices use fonts installed on your device and do not connect to Google Fonts for those fonts. Ordinary speech bubbles, narration, and headings use device fonts by default. Ten other font choices, including rounded, pop, handwritten, and pen-script styles, are loaded from Google Fonts. Six of the eight standard sound-effect lettering styles use Google Fonts. Adding sound-effect lettering can therefore trigger a connection to Google Fonts even without an explicit font-selection action. If the required font has already been loaded, it is reused.
Google Fonts are loaded when text using them is rendered on the displayed page and when fonts needed by pages to be exported are prepared. If a font needed by a relevant page has not yet been loaded, these actions can trigger loading:
| Trigger | Condition |
|---|
| Selecting a font for text, a heading, or the author line | A Google Fonts font is used on the displayed page. |
| Adding sound-effect lettering | The lettering style uses a Google Fonts font, including some default styles. |
| Opening a work file | The page displayed uses a Google Fonts font, whether the work is yours or someone else’s. |
| Automatically restoring the previous work at startup | The restored page displayed uses a Google Fonts font. |
| Switching pages | The destination page uses a Google Fonts font that has not yet been loaded. |
| Undoing or redoing | The restored state displays text using a Google Fonts font. |
| Setting a font or loading work through an operation tool | The resulting displayed page uses a Google Fonts font. |
| Exporting PDF, ZIP, PNG, or moving-panel HTML | A page being exported contains text using a Google Fonts font that has not yet been loaded. All-page exports, including PDF and ZIP, also cover pages that are not displayed. This applies to exports through the interface and through operation tools. |
| Exporting GIF, WebM, or MP4 | These exports use the current or recorded page. They normally use fonts already loaded for display, so new font loading normally does not occur. |
A fresh startup with no previous work does not connect to Google Fonts while only device fonts are used. Opening the font choices alone does not make a connection. Fonts already loaded are reused. Exporting a page that uses only device fonts does not connect to Google Fonts for those fonts.
Before exporting, the app waits up to 10 seconds for font loading. If a font does not arrive or loading fails, it exports using a fallback font and reports this through an on-screen notice or other export feedback. This process does not change your work data. Moving-panel HTML exports also load required fonts before export, but text is drawn into images when the file is created. A reader's device does not reference Google Fonts when opening the exported HTML. This font-loading behavior is the same in the hosted, directly opened HTML file, and local-server editions.
Loading connects your device directly to Google’s servers: font CSS is obtained from fonts.googleapis.com and font files from fonts.gstatic.com. Information sent with these connections includes your IP address, browser information, and font names in the request URL. In the hosted edition, the website’s origin (https://komacut.ink/) is also sent as referrer information. To avoid connections for font loading, use device fonts, including in sound-effect lettering styles. See the Google Fonts explanation and Google Privacy Policy.
AI connections in the directly opened HTML file and local-server editions are described in section 2. Sending an inquiry through an email link uses your email service.
5. Contact and information requests
For questions about Komacut or the handling of information, contact info@komacut.ink.
We use the email address, name if provided, and message received in an inquiry to reply and take any necessary follow-up action. Inquiry information is retained for one year after the inquiry is resolved and then deleted. If it is included in the email service’s backups, information in those backups may remain under that service’s retention and deletion mechanisms. This does not mean that the operator extends the inquiry-information retention period. Do not send API keys, passwords, or other secrets.
The operator is gatyoukatyou. If an individual whose personal data is held by the operator requests the operator’s address, the operator will provide it to that individual without delay. To request the address, notification of purposes of use, access, correction, restriction of use, deletion, or other applicable actions, email info@komacut.ink. Describe the action you request and, where known, details such as an inquiry date that help identify the relevant information.
Identity verification will first involve checking the inquiry’s sender email address and inquiry history held by the operator, and confirming through a reply to that email address. If the information or request requires additional verification, the operator will explain what is needed and how to provide it. The operator will avoid requesting more information than necessary in relation to the information held or placing an excessive burden on the individual. You do not need to attach identity documents, API keys, passwords, or other secrets to your initial request.
Requests will be handled under applicable law. Work and API keys stored only in your browser are not held by the operator and must be removed on your own device.
6. Changes
When this policy changes, we will publish the changes and their effective date on this page.
Change history: 6 October 2026, first version. 11 October 2026, section 2 revised (when the HTML file is opened directly, API keys, endpoints, work, and drawing drafts are no longer stored in the browser).
If the Japanese and English versions differ, the Japanese version takes precedence. This provision does not exclude rights granted to users by applicable law.
